This week’s playlist moves through underground club energy, emotional depth, and a nostalgic nod to Aussie dance history.
Sydney rave pioneer Peewee Ferris returns with some serious edits of his 1996 release, Time To Make the Floor Burn. Ferris recently made it into Rolling Stone’s Top 50 Greatest Australian Electronic Artists of All Time (2025) and was previously listed among the world’s Top 100 DJs by Mixmag. Originally released in 1996, this acid-soaked, vocoder-laced techno weapon has been resurrected and retooled for the next-gen underground. Fun fact, the original release included a remix by none other than Mark James, whose label, Two Tribes Records, the 2025 version is released under.
Special mention to Angel Music (umru Remix) by Ninajirachi and MGNA Crrrta, landing as part of NLV Records’ 10-year anniversary celebrations. A full-circle moment for one of Australia’s most forward-thinking labels.
Another standout this week: I Wonder (For Me) by Erotika Dabra, the experimental project of James Northwood. Blending emotional soundscapes with the physical artistry of pole performance, his work is a deeply personal expression of vulnerability, transformation, and creative release.
It would be rude not to mention Aussential Mix alumni Late June and his gorgeous new track called 'aura', and weirdtechnogirlfriend and Paul Le Bay's Chop Chop had us jumping around in the studio. Speaking of the Aussential Mix, our monthly mix series returns in June, and we couldn't be more excited to feature Melbourne's Okayden. To warm up, this week's episode included Okayden's track "Well Okayden" Remixed by Desinformant.
Enjoy the show!

Track of the Week: Harry Hayes - Get 'Em Up
We’ve had this one on repeat all week. Get ‘Em Up from Sydney’s Harry Hayes is punchy, playful, and built for the club with big percussion and zero pretence. Harry gives off this effortless energy, like he’s doing exactly what he’s meant to be doing. Whether that’s completely wrong or not, I don’t know. But I’m happy to think that.
