This week’s playlist comes with a side of sonic chaos and synths that slap. Dysphemic kicks things off with DACTYL. Pterodactyls (more accurately, pterosaurs) weren’t actually dinosaurs, but flying reptiles that lived around 150 million years ago. What I find super weird about them is that they really seem to be missing an abdomen. Like, where are they hiding their internal organs? I went on a disturbingly deep dive about the internal structures of pterosaurs, but I won't bore you with the details here.
Aside from prehistoric bass, there’s a good dose of House from Random Soul and Jon Guetano, and big neon energy from synth-pop band The Safety Word. The Aussie obsession with Prog is still going strong too, with lush new drops from Cassian and Solstay & VMS keeping things firmly in the prog realm.
Also, yes, I really did ask ChatGPT what dinosaur I’d be, and it said Therizinosaurus, so I'm a chill herbivore with murder-hands hosting a radio show. Honestly, fair.
