This Week's Playlist – Week 3, July 2025

Some feels, some dance floor moments, some down tempo vibes. This week's playlist took us through a mix of moods and tempos.

We kicked off with Late June’s I Don’t Want to Do This Anymore, a track the New Zealand producer wrote during a heavy chapter in his life. There’s a real knack in being able to produce danceable electronic music backed with actual emotion, and Late June nails it every time.

The mood flipped completely with the latest from Mashd N Kutcher. MAKE ME FEEL arguably doesn’t make you feel much more than that good old fashioned hands in the air energy, but with an uplifting piano riff and a generous sprinkle of nostalgia, that’s more than enough.

A few tracks later, X CLUB gave us Desire to Stay and I couldn’t ignore the truly infectious energy of Adelaide from Blaynoz. Mansionair kept it beautiful, as always, with ATLAS.

We’ve been getting some really great submissions through our online form lately. This week we loved Holdin’ Me Down from Koh-Dee and Devon Rea. It brought a classy lo fi energy to the show. Koh-Dee is a producer, DJ and rapper from Tasmania and we’re looking forward to hearing more from this talented artist.

If you’ve been on the fence about sending your music through, why not just do it. We genuinely love hearing all the weird, wonderful and completely unexpected sounds coming out of Australia and there’s always room for something new.

Track of the Week: Panama – Everything Begins Again

What was I saying earlier about making dance music with emotion? Panama’s Everything Begins Again is a reminder of the uncertainty that comes with change, while still feeling quietly hopeful. Life can feel like one step forward and two steps back, and while so much remains unknown, there’s some peace in accepting that everything is changing and that we can begin again. Cry, dance, cry, sing along. Lean into it. Just gorgeous.
