Hey you! Yes, YOU! Thank you for being here, I really appreciate it and I appreciate you! You may remember recently I was all like "I'm going to add a Track of the Week and an Emerging Artist of the Week..."? Well, I CHANGED MY MIND. I'm experimenting with different ideas and concepts to try to best showcase artists and music on the show. With feedback on the new segments and the overall flow of the show, it was decided to approach it a bit differently.
So I'm introducing a FEATURE ARTIST for each week. And this weeks featured artist is the incredible, amazing and very talented Damo Cox. And he just happened to stop by the EMA HQ for a little chat too which was super fun.
Damo has an impressive resume, and is no stranger to the clubs of Gold Coast including local underground institutions Rattlesnake Motel and elsewhere. He also played a monster set at Splendour in the Grass festival back in 2019. With slowing of gigs due to you-know-what, Damo set his mind to completing a degree in Audio Engineering, growing his record label Sorta Kinda Music and building a stellar catalogue of original tracks both under Damo Cox as well as his side project GrooveJak with local icon Craig Roberts.

Damo Cox's tracks have charted in the ARIA club charts, iTunes, Traxsource and Beatport charts. 'Took a Bite' climbed to #44 on the ARIA Club Chart and #47 on Traxsource Tech House Chart and 'Rolling Away' hit #10 on Traxsource Tech House Chart.
This week I've featured Damo Cox's latest track 'Light Years', released on Vanilla ACE's label Wyldcard in their album Wyld in Amsterdam 2022, as well as 'Wasting Time' and one of my personal favourites 'Like A Freak'.
